Next Gen Ministry

We make efforts in embodying all of our church values in each ministry and generation. This page offers an overview of ministries for the next generation. Our consistent ministry programming happens Sunday mornings, for this reason we try to offer intentional and age-appropriate classes for all young people. Your child’s safety is important to us, we have designated leaders throughout our ministries who are first aid and CPR certified.

Feel free to reach out to our Next Gen Ministry Director, Cassie Pritchard at cassie@destinyweb.org with any questions!

The A.R.K.

Birth - 5 years olds

Children ages birth - 5 years old are invited to engage their spirituality in our nursery (located upstairs), where we teach Biblical truth and demonstrate love. Parents/ guardians should check them in downstairs and walk them up to get settled in. In the nursery we encourage play based learning including interactive worship and intentional toys based on child development. We encourage kids to engage with God through their imaginative play. As they wonder about who God is and how the world functions, leaders are present to disciple kids in Biblical truths. Parents will be contacted during the service if there are any issues. Following the service, parents should pick their child up from the nursery with their pick-up tag.

Children's Ministry

Kindergarten - 4th grade

Children in kindergarten - 4th grade are invited to join children’s ministry every Sunday (located upstairs) where they will interact with peers and encounter God’s presence and Biblical teaching. Parents should check them in downstairs and have them join intergenerational worship on the turf, they will be dismissed after worship. Following the service, parents need to bring their pick-up tag to the gym to retrieve their child, this is to ensure their safety.

Middle School Ministry

5th - 8th grade

Students in 5th - 7th grade are considered our transitional group, they meet biweekly upstairs following worship on the turf. In their time together, they fellowship with peers, study scripture, have space to encounter God’s presence, and are encouraged to use their gifts to serve in other ministries on opposite Sundays.

Engage

9th - 12th grade

High schoolers are invited to ENGAGE with each other and God on Sunday mornings following worship on the turf. This is a time of fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. On opposite Sundays, students are encouraged to use their God-given gifts to serve and participate in the body of Christ.
