meet Ben

Co-Pastor & Elder

 

Ben serves as Co-Pastor of Destiny Church and as General Manager for The Edge Sports & Arts Academy. He is originally from Mount Vernon, Ohio. Ben earned a degree in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University where he also met his wife Krista. Ben's early career was in education as a Social Studies teacher. He worked for 10 years at a vocational high school, during which time he also earned his Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. After the births of their two daughters, Meghan and Clara, Ben and Krista felt led to live and work overseas. Ben served as the Director of Education for a non-profit for six years in the Middle East. Please ask him about this time in his life as he loves to share stories of his family's time serving abroad. Following their time overseas, Ben and Krista felt called to come and live in Cleveland, and Ben felt called to full-time ministry. He completed his pastoral studies with the Christian & Missionary Alliance's School of Ministry and has now entered the track for ordination with the C&MA. Fun facts for Ben include that he can play three different musical instruments, has traveled to 20 different countries and loves learning about culture, and is pretty much willing to eat anything at least once.
